Frequently asked questions
- Why don't iPhone photos open on my computer?
- Since 2017 iPhones shoot in HEIC — half the size of JPG, but Windows and many apps can't read it without codecs. Converting to JPG solves it for good.
- Is quality lost?
- Conversion uses JPEG quality 92 — visually lossless. Photo orientation (portrait/landscape) is preserved correctly.
- Can I build a PDF from HEIC directly?
