What is the scanned look for?

Counterparties often ask for a 'scan of the signed contract'. When the signature and stamp are placed into the PDF as images, a perfectly clean file gives the montage away — the scan effect adds natural paper traces: slight skew, grain, and copier contrast.

Will the text stay selectable?

No — just like a real scan, pages become images. That is part of the effect: the file looks like it went through a scanner.

How do the intensity levels differ?

Light is an almost clean, neat scan; medium is a typical office photocopy; strong is a worn-out copier with visible grain and contrast.

Will the file get bigger?

Usually yes: pages turn into images, as with real scanning. The size is comparable to a 150 DPI scan.
